There will be a towns festival on April 17 and April 18, 2009 at the downtown area of 105 S. Shelby St., Blacksburg, SC 29702. This Iron City Festival has been held for the last four years. The family will enjoy the free admission and the diverse activities that the festival feature. There are activities that will range from the arts and crafts display, food and drinks and entertainment.
The vendors will be allowed to set up their booth from 6:00 A.M. to 8:00 A.M. because the craft show will officially start from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Customers and vendors do not need to worry about the parking space because there is enough parking spaces at the streets and the bank lot. For the vendors there will be enough parking are for them at the designated parking area.
The promoters will not providing for the electricity and water for vendors use. There will be portable restrooms and public restrooms at the community center. Since the Iron City Festival is a street festival it will be located outdoors without cover. Customers and vendors will need to prepare if there be bad weather on that day.
The type of vendors the promoters are looking for are the ones that will display items or products like arts & craft vendors, food vendors, health fair providers, display, demonstration & exhibit participants, cake contest participants, kid parade participants, mascots in uniform for kid’s parade, car show exhibitors. There will also be a space fee of $25.00 for a 10′x10′ and $40.00 for a 10′x20′ space for craft, art and retail vendors who plan to attend this festival. If you plan to sell food then the space fee will be $30.00 for 10′x10′ and $50.00 for a 10′x20′ space
The Iron City Festival will be advertised by putting ads in the local newspaper, having local radio broadcasting, ads in the Spartanburg Channel 7 and ads in the internet. Brochures and flyers will be distributed at the SC Welcome Centers, schools, churches and businesses.
