Divers Adventures

by Pri Vag

Depending on the tide, it is a fairly constant 25-27m to the seabed and 18-20m to the upper (starboard) side throughout the dive. The wooden superstructure and planking have all long-since rotted away – though many fragments of planking are still found attached to the iron framework. This leaves a steel hull held together by iron cross-members and, with the decking gone, this allows the Diver to explore both the external features and two deck levels within the wreck itself.

At the Bows there is a large copper ring that once held the bowsprit in place and just in front of this is the ship’s leading curved metal bowsprit support – underneath which was once found the figurehead. Swimming slightly away from the Bows and looking back, it is easy to see the Carnatic’s fine, sleek lines – even today.

Buying a foreclosure is a great way to get started with real estate investment. For many people, the idea of buying a foreclosure can seem overwhelming, however. Many people don’t understand how the foreclosure process works, or even how to locate foreclosure properties. Even once you understand the basics, you have to remember to look at a foreclosure from an investor’s point of view, not the way you would if you were purchasing the house to live in. Many foreclosure homes are sold at cut-rate prices because they need some type of work. While you may be paying well below market value when buying a foreclosure, don’t forget to include money in your budget for repairs and improvements.

Many foreclosure houses are sold as-is. To avoid getting stuck with a lemon, you must carefully inspect the property before making an offer. The great deal you got buying a foreclosure home can quickly turn into a nightmare if you find a leaky roof or a crumbling foundation. If you are not experienced with home inspections, hire an expert to perform this task for you before you take part in an auction or make an offer on the home.

Buy a business or start one? It’s a question I hear a lot. Is it really safer to get into an existing business or start one? Most believe buying is the answer.

A business start up does seem to have a higher failure rate. This is often because of poor planning and preparation by the owner. If you think out and plan for your new business you’ll have reasonable chance for success.

The odds improve when you do proper planning and surround yourself with high quality capable advisors. You don’t go to the cheapest doctor when you have a serious problem, you want the best you can afford. You should keep that in mind whether you buy or start from scratch.

It’s not always riskier to start up if you look at other possibilities like deciding to start small. A part-time endeavor while keeping your regular job is one way to start and grow a business with less risk. You’ll keep from paying a large upfront price for an existing business and that is a more conservative approach.

Store Credit Cards and You

by Samatha Ferguson

If you can comfortably clear the outstanding amount on your store card when the bill arrives and are a regular customer of that particular retailer, it may be worth using a store card, as there could be plenty of benefits in doing so. Not only do you get a discount on your first purchase, there are usually other perks, such as bonus reward schemes, free catalogs or magazines, and special shopping days, where you can avoid the crowds and shop in peace. Jim Black gives customers 1% of what they spend in store back in the form of vouchers, for example, so if you are a regular customer this could be worth having.

Some retailers have launched credit cards alongside their store cards so you get the usual rewards of a store card for spending on the retailer-branded credit card. The danger is that while the APR tends to be lower than on a store card, it isnt as cheap as some of the best credit cards. And as you arent restricted to one store but can use it in whatever outlets you like, you could run up more debt on it than you were able to before. Check the APR before spending ” and if it isnt that competitive (and you dont clear your balance every month) dont use it at all.

Making money online through pay per click has become popular over the internet and among website owners. If you are one of those maintaining a website, this advertising method allows you to make good money online but only if you implement it the right way.

The main concept of pay per click is for businesses and companies to advertise their products in websites like yours or in search engines. They will then place ads in the form of texts or banners in your website and every time a site visitor will click on the ad and redirected to the business’ website, you will then be paid of the amount you have agreed with the business owner. The more clicks to the business’ ads, the more money you make. But how do you get these businesses to advertise in your website? The complexity of this advertising tool comes in.

Parker Pens 75

by Priyesh Resh

The Parker 51 is one of the most successful pens ever produced and is instantly recognizable, making it a design icon. It was named the Parker 51 to commemorate the 51 year anniversary of the Parker Pen company, and in a poll by the Illinois Institute of Technology it was voted the fourth best industrial design of the twentieth century.

The Parker 51 was designed to be a top of the range writing instrument which would help re-establish Parker as a leading luxury brand and recapture the gift marker. The 75 was designed by Kenneth Parker, son of the companys founder George Parker, and chief designer Don Doman.

In previous years Parker had tried to take the cheaper pen market with the 21, 41 and 45. Kenneth Parker was not happy as his vision for Parker was a manufacturer of top class pens. Thus Kenneth Parker introduced a new top of the range fountain pen.
